President
The PTO President serves as the leader and primary point of contact for the organization. They oversee all PTO operations, chair meetings, coordinate with school administration and staff, and ensure that goals, events, and initiatives are aligned with the school’s mission and calendar. The President sets the tone for collaboration, supports other board members in their roles, and helps guide the overall vision of the PTO throughout the school year.
Vice President
The Vice President works closely with the President and supports the board in carrying out PTO goals and responsibilities. They step in when the President is unavailable, help coordinate committees, and assist in planning and executing events. The Vice President serves as a key leader behind the scenes — ready to jump in wherever needed to ensure a smooth and successful year for the PTO.
Treasurer
The Treasurer manages the financial health of the PTO. This role includes maintaining accurate records of all income and expenses, preparing and presenting financial reports, creating the annual budget, and overseeing reimbursements and payments. The Treasurer works closely with other board members to ensure funds are used responsibly and transparently to support school programs, events, and priorities.
Secretary
The Secretary is responsible for keeping accurate and organized records of all PTO meetings and communications. This role includes taking and distributing meeting minutes, maintaining official documents, and managing email correspondence when needed. The Secretary ensures transparency and helps keep the board and school community informed by documenting decisions, updates, and upcoming plans.
Event Coordinator
The Event Coordinator brings the school community together by planning and organizing PTO-sponsored events throughout the year. From family nights to seasonal celebrations, this role handles logistics, coordinates volunteers, and works with vendors and staff to ensure each event runs smoothly. The Event Coordinator helps make school life fun, engaging, and memorable for students and families.
Fundraising Coordinator
The Fundraising Coordinator leads the planning and execution of PTO fundraisers throughout the year. This includes organizing events like restaurant nights, product fundraisers, and school-wide campaigns to help raise money for important programs, supplies, and campus improvements. The Fundraising Coordinator brings creativity and energy to fundraising efforts and works closely with the board to ensure financial goals are met in a fun and community-focused way.
Community Outreach
The Community Outreach Coordinator builds meaningful connections between the school and the broader community. In addition to seeking support from local businesses through donations or sponsorships, this role is also responsible for organizing and managing the school’s after-school enrichment program. From selecting vendors to coordinating schedules and logistics, they ensure that students have access to engaging, high-quality extracurricular opportunities.
Homeroom Helper Coordinator
The Homeroom Helper Coordinator serves as the liaison between the PTO board and the room parents (also known as homeroom parents). This role is responsible for recruiting, organizing, and supporting room parents throughout the year. By keeping room parents informed and involved, the coordinator helps ensure important PTO updates, volunteer needs, and school-wide initiatives are effectively communicated to every classroom.
